What is Digital Marketing

 It is a process of building an online presence for a brand through website, it can either be done through paid or unpaid sources. Paid could be Google Ads, Meta ads, etc. Free sources are creating a YouTube channel or an Instagram account, creating email, etc. to promote the brand. 

There are so many types of digital marketing.

 o SEO (Search engine optimization) In this, we have to rank a website for visibility in search engine results pages for better growth and for more organic traffic. 

There are 3 types of SEO : 

    o White hat : In this, a website has to rank in a legal and ethical way. It is a long-term process to rank a website on search engine result pages. It takes 6 months or more to rank a website. 

    o Grey Hat : In this a website rank through bloodline techniques that are accepted from Google algorithm. It is mainly a mix of white hat and black-hat SEO. It uses both techniques to rank a website. 

    o Black Hat : In this, a website has ranked in an illegal and unethical way. It takes a short time to rank a website like 2 months. But in this case, Google algorithms have not accepted that way to rank a website, so they take down the website in search engine result pages. 

o Google Ads : it is a non-organic marketing which means non organic traffic comes on a website through advertisements. There are so many types of ADS : Like : search ads, display ads, video ads, shopping ads, application ads. 

o Pay per click (PPC) : In this, a brand needs to pay an amount each time a user clicks on their advertisement. It is known as paid advertising. 

o Social media marketing : it can be done through paid, or organic making through Instagram ,     Facebook , LinkedIn, Twitter , Pinterest. 

o Online PR : It helps a brand to maintain their positive reputation. If there is anything negative about the brand, it hides or gives a positive review to hide negative. 

o Email marketing : Use email to promote their product, services and content to the customer and build communication with them. It is cost-effective marketing. 

o Content Marketing : It helps brands to engage a target audience through Blog, webinar, video, podcast and many more. In this brand, give relevant and consistent content to engage a target audience. 

o Affiliate Marketing : It helps brands to promote their product and services through affiliates, and the affiliates earn commission for each sale.
